Fitness Challenge – Fall Update

My 8 week fitness challenge was originally planned for August 1-September 23rd. The past few weeks included a trip to the beach, vacation in New England and then moving out of an apartment into a house so the fitness challenge fell to the bottom of my priority list. As I head into what was supposed to be the last two weeks of the challenge, I’m going to extend through the end of October and refocus. My original challenge list had 9 focus areas but I’m going to simplify to make it more attainable. Now, I will have 4 main focus areas. See below for what they are and the new tracker graphic.

Highlights from the first 6 weeks of the fitness challenge below.

Workouts – not as many as I was planning but they were good workouts when I did go to the gym.

Cooking at home – we def ate out way more than we planned but still got in some great meals at home. Kicking cooking at home into high gear now that we are fully moved into out new house! Some of the dishes at home were carnitas, low country boil, ostrich, and shrimp & grits.

Explore – This included going to new places in Raleigh, a beach trip to Oak Island, NC, and a vacation in Boston/Connecticut.

Self-care & growth – For me this included relaxing baths, eating at nice restaurants, taking lots of walks with my dog, taking time to rest in the midst of moving and reading books for book clubs!

Whoop statistics – this is where the strain and recovery comes into play in the next few weeks. We want more green days and that percentage to go up higher. On the blue one, the number should go up. For the heart statistics, I want the Resting Heart Rate to go down and the Heart Rate Variability to go up.

What are your personal goals for the upcoming season? Let me know so I can cheer you on!
