Vibrant Badass in Charleston

Charleston has so much going for it. Between the beach, the incredible food scene and the historic southern vibes, I’m a huge fan. Here are some of my recommendations if you ever go to Charleston, South Carolina.

Bars and Restaurants

  • Uptown Social – bar food & buchwhackers
  • Church and Union – casual fine dining with incredible ambiance
  • The Noisy Oyster – eclectic seafood spot
  • The Rooftop at The Vendue – beautiful rooftop with views overlooking the city
  • The Ordinary – upscale seafood. delicious oyster options.
  • Chez Nous – one of my favorite restaurants of all time. the menu changes daily and is handwritten. there are only two apps, two mains and two desserts.
  • The Alley – cool arcade bar
  • Élevé at the Grand Bohemian – elegant rooftop garden. fun fact this is the first place I had my favorite cocktail – gin, champagne, lemon & lavender bitters.
  • O-ku – sushi and asian cuisine with a southern influence
  • The Cocktail Club – upscale lounge for craft cocktails
  • Charleston Grill – southern-French in The Charleston Place hotel. beautiful atmosphere.
  • The Gin Joint – 1920s inspired cocktail lounge featuring the largest gin selection I have ever seen
  • 167 Sushi Bar – incredible raw bar perfect to get an oyster fix

Folly Island beach – Charleston is so close to the water so you have to take some time to actually hang out on the beach.

Hotel Recommendation – Ansonborough Inn. This place is super cute and quirky. My favorite part was that there was lemonade and sweet tea available in the lobby at all times. Plus these beautifully framed dog photos.
