Day 51– Pick a theme word for 2023. Find a words that embodies your overall desired vibe for the next 365 days. Think of it when you are making choices about how to spend your time, energy and money. It’s okay if it takes you a couple days to decide on your word.
I had a draft list of 6 words that I sat with for a few days before picking FLOURISH. The definition is to grow or develop in a healthy or vigorous way, especially as the result of a particularly favorable environment. That is my hope for 2023. My husband’s word is INTENTIONAL which will carry into actions, relationships, and personal growth. I am so excited for what this year holds for us and for all of you!

Day 52 – Build something. This could be physical or metaphorical. You can build something for your space like a piece of furniture or a fire pit or even a blanket fort. If you have an idea in your mind about something that brings you joy, take the first step to make it happen. You have the power to build your own future. Other ideas of what to build –
- Menu for a dinner party
- Charcuterie board
- Fire pit
- Relationships + Connections
- Business
- Audience
- Lego masterpiece
- Furniture
- Garden
- DIY Project
- Daily to do list or any kind of list

Day 53 – Start a 2023 memory jar. Pick a vessel and add trinkets throughout the year. This could be tickets, hotel keys, wristbands, written lists, wine bottle corks, or any other physical thing. At the end of the year you can pull everything out and think about all the fun times! I have been doing this for the past few years and I love sorting through it at the end of each year!

Day 54 – Treat yourself. Do something you love. This could look like a luxurious cup of coffee or a relaxing bubble bath or gifting yourself a present that you have been wanting for a while. Anything that brings joy to your day because it makes you happier.

Day 55 – Create an intention space in your home. Pick an area in your home and setup a place to take 5-10 minutes each morning to set your intentions for the day. Once you have this space, start the practice of setting the vibe for yourself by taking a few minutes in the morning. You can light a candle, pick a mantra or do whatever works for you to feel balanced going into your day. This challenge comes from Ashley Cantley, feng shui expert and author! Check out the video for this challenge here

Day 56 – Plan a weekend trip. Book it. Pick a place you have always wanted to go and make it happen. You can go by yourself or with a significant other or with your friend group. Let me know if you want any help planning! I love traveling and finding cool things to do in different cities. If you are flexible on timing, you can set some Google flight alerts and book the flights when they are cheapest.

Day 57 – Eat something nostalgic. Any food that you love that makes you think of a happy memory from the past! What is that food for you?

Day 58 – Strengthen a relationship. Pick someone in your life and do something intentional to grow your relationship. This could be your spouse/significant other, sibling, parent, child, friend, co-worker or neighbor.
- Uninterrupted device free quality time
- Talk about goals and dreams
- Money date
- Schedule a coffee or dinner
- Make plans to do something you both love
- Buy them a present
- Eat a food you both love
- Facetime if you don’t live nearby
- Go on a walk
- Read the same book and talk about it

Day 59 – Attend an event to meet new people. This could be a book club, networking event, or meetup group. Intentionally seek out an event of interest where you can make a new friend or two! If it makes you nervous to go by yourself, try to find a friend to join you.

Day 60 – Make some money moves. Assess your current financial situation and compare it with where you want to be and take one small step in that direction. Figure out a budget method that works for you. Check in on your retirement accounts or start one if you don’t have one yet! Make a savings goal for the year and setup a separate savings account, preferably a high yield savings account! Cancel subscriptions you no longer want or call your cell phone/credit card companies to negotiate your rates. You can also follow social media accounts related to personal finance and building wealth like Financial Feminist, Girls That Invest, and Broke Millennial Blog.
