VB100 Challenge

Imagine how your life could change if you intentionally added joy to your day for 100 days straight. Every day you do something that makes you happy. This could be something fun that inherently adds joy or the joy could come from getting the task off your to do list.

To celebrate the last 50 days of 2024 and kickoff the first 50 days of 2025, join the VB100 challenge! It runs from November 11th to February 20th. Don’t wait for the new year to work on your goals and be the person you want to be!

From greater mental clarity and improved well-being to an energized approach to goals, VB100 is a fun, low-pressure way to close out the year strong and kick off the new year refreshed.

The only solid parameter is that whatever you do should be around the idea to intentionally enhance your life. This is a very “create your own adventure” style of challenge. VB100 is designed to fit any lifestyle. Whether it’s as simple as a few quiet minutes to yourself or diving into something bold, this is a chance to design a personalized roadmap to joy.

Imagine looking back on 100 days where every action contributed to a more joyful, intentional version of yourself. VB100 isn’t just about finding happiness—it’s about creating a new, elevated baseline for your everyday life. This challenge is your gateway to growth and transformation, uniquely tailored by you.

approach

There are a few ways to approach this challenge.

1 – During every day of the challenge, do something intentionally for yourself, notice something beautiful, or think about a new thing for which to be grateful. Keep track by writing a note for each day either physically or digitally. This is the simplest approach to the challenge – doing something that brings you joy every day for 100 days straight.

2 – Create a list of what you want to accomplish within the 100 day time span. More on this in the next few paragraphs! You can target one thing per day which would be a list of 100 or anywhere in between 1-100 goals within the challenge.

3 – Do the original VB100 challenge with a specific prompt each day. You can check out the full list on this blog. You can also see a detailed version of the 100 challenges here or the get the workbook as a pay what you want digital download here.

themes

Pick themes for the things you want to do. This can help make the creation of a list of 100 more approachable by breaking it down. Five themes with 20 activities each can feel more doable than thinking of 100 general things to do.

In the original VB100, the themes I used were Explore, Growth, Happiness, Food and Adventure. Other theme ideas could be:

Fun
Creativity
Relaxation
Community
Connection
Relationships
Style
Fitness
Health
Finances
Spontaneity

Think about the areas of your life that care about focusing on!

mix it up

As you think of the things you want to do within the 100 days mix up small delights, big adventures, nagging mental load tasks and more challenging tasks. It doesn’t have to be all happy go lucky easy things but you also don’t want the VB100 to feel like your normal to do list. Do things that you have been wanting to try for years and take steps to figure out how to do them.

small + free

A lot of fun things do cost some money. Make sure to include a good amount of ideas that you can do without too much effort and without spending money.

Some of the cheaper/free ideas include going to parks, taking baths, reading books from the library and dancing to your favorite music.

connections

Make some of the challenges be activities that involve other people like your partner, friends, family or social groups. Better yet, get others to join you in the VB100 challenge and create their own version.

If you are introverted, challenge yourself to do some social things.

If you are an extrovert, include social activities to bring you more joy!

Use the challenge as a way to connect with people you love. You won’t be doing this alone. Join a community of like-minded people who are equally committed to growth and joy, where you’ll get daily inspiration, encouragement, and ideas to keep you motivated every step of the way.

make it your own

If 100 activities feels like too much, create a list of however many you want and just keep the 100 day timeline to complete the list.

You could also add to the list throughout the challenge as you think of things and do them instead of creating a list of 100 before 11/11.
