Big list check-in!
Try 52 restaurants is definitely done. This was easy for me. In Raleigh alone, I have tried at 47 places (of my growing list of 120+ places). Plus I went to Miami, Minneapolis and Pittsburgh where I tried all new places! I’m going to up this to 100 and make a big list of all of them!
For reading, I am up to 13 books so far this year so am perfectly on track for the 25 book goal. Maybe even a little ahead with all the books I am half into right now. I’ll write a separate blog on books I read this year. I also created a Summer Reading challenge that I’m working on. You can read that blog here.
Burn boot camp 150x – I only did 40 camps the first half of the year with my move and needing to take time to let my body rest. I am pivoting this goal to be 75 camps the second half of the year. Already three down! I post on my Instagram stories to hold myself accountable.
Still planning a trip to Hawaii in the fall and I can’t wait! Lots of time left to book an international trip. Brian and I are working on money moves to increase income, pay off debt and live the lifestyle we want. I feel like I’m doing a great job of inspiring laughter for my husband as well as the people around us. This is an ongoing goal for the type of person I want to be.
We moved across the country fro Madison, WI to Raleigh, NC and it has been amazing. North Carolina is beautiful and the city of Raleigh always has fun things happening. I have not been close to bored here but the opposite of almost overwhelmed with all the options. Did you see the note about my spreadsheet of over 120 restaurants in the Raleigh area?!
I had a goal of 3.5 million steps but killed my fitbit in the ocean on our Miami trip. Now I have a Whoop fitness tracker! My goal for that is >50% green recovery days and average daily strain of 9.5. For reference, my 3 week average the past 3 weeks was 5.5 but last week when I went to Burn 2x it was up to 8.0. This is a cool way to track my activity, sleep and recovery with data that is reported and analyzed weekly and monthly.
Adventure check-in!
I have only played golf at one course but am joining a golf league next week! With new hobbies, I have more focused on doing random things to meet people. I can’t wait to host some fun dinner parties in the second half of the year. Instead of growing my Rosé and Good vibes website/social media, I am all into Vibrant Badass! This better encompasses my goals of lots of adventures in various areas of my life.
In Raleigh I joined the Books, Brunches and Booze book club and have helped host some meetups! I also found a few other book clubs that I am trying to attend in the next few months.
My dog helps me play outside and get in Vitamin D on the regular. I haven’t even started to tap into the cool things that NC has to offer. Hopefully still this summer I will go to some rivers for tubing, do some outdoor yoga, have lots of pool hangs and maybe even have a picnic somewhere.
For experiencing art, I went to art in bloom at the NCMA which was mind blowing. I also went to a cool art gallery in the Village District. Another event I attended was Artsplosure which was a huge art festival downtown that had a giant bubble installation. I feel good about this goal and am excited to experience even more art soon.
I like to treat myself in big and small ways. Sometimes it is as simple as taking a bath and letting myself relax instead of tackling my massive ongoing to do list. Brian and I love to eat nice food. Sometimes this is at home with crab legs or nice cuts of steak and sometimes it is at swanky restaurants like the anniversary meal we had in Miami. I like the habit of making sure I take care of myself especially when life gets hectic and overwhelming.
Weekly habits check-in!
When I originally came up with this list I was going to one in each category every week. The intentionality of that idea was a little too much. I still want to carry these ideas into the second part of the year but am not so strict with the idea. It’s more of a guiding list that those are growth areas in my life. When making decisions about how I want to spend my time, I ask if I am contributing to one of these areas or other core values in my life. If the time spend isn’t, I might want to re-evaluate if it is worth it.
I made a few slight changes to some of my goals but am feeling pretty good about the progress so far. The move to Raleigh has been very fun and I’m stoked to keep exploring our new city.
New fun graphics!

Cheers to the rest of the year!
